Who is Mara J. Ova
I’ve been spinning stories in my head for as long as I can remember. And from my teenage years on, there was usually some love in them. Some man. Some heat. Now I have finally found the time to share those stories with you. I call it the Maraverse.

Why start with skiers?
Because I love skiing in the Alps — the speed, the danger, the swagger. Gladiators don’t fight in sand anymore; they hurl themselves down mountains at 140 kilometers an hour in skin-tight suits, muscles taut, thighs of steel.
They laugh at risk, carve impossible lines into ice, and grin at the finish as if death was just another gate to clear. It’s reckless. It’s addictive. And yes — it’s sexy enough to make you squeeze your thighs together just reading about them. How could I not begin here?
That’s how The Carved Heart Series was born. Thomas, Katharina, Matteo, Niko… their stories are only the beginning. Maddie will paddle her way into trouble in a summer spin-off, and maybe you’ll even get to meet the legendary Italian couple who once nearly broke the circus with their affair before TikTok was even a thing.
Why continue with soccer players?
I come from a true soccer family. My dad was a sports doctor for a local team, and my brother was a professional referee who still works in the industry today. I basically grew up with the sport all around me.
Then, after one trip to Rome, I fell completely in love with Italy and Italian football. I was the teenager proudly wearing an Italy kit everywhere during their 2006 World Cup win. So, naturally, my soccer novels are all about Italian players!
